Dicere Aude

Insomnia

Awake,
Light breaks over the cornfield,
Those yellow flowers, turning brown
Rainbows don’t fall down

As I mow the lawn,
Sunbeams over a puddle, anigh
Then I dive in, freshly reborn
Rainbows don’t fall down

From a well, I remove water
Rainbows don’t fall down
As the only color left is red

Alternative ending line:

[As I awake, my companion, dead!]

Indefinitely

I’d take all of them with me
The laugh
The stories
The long walks…

I’d take all of them with me
Those echoes
Untranslatable
Not understandable

Cache-cache

I’d confess them all

The scent of your hair
Before the wind scatters it

Revealing

Your innocent face…

I’d confess them all
Our only sin...

I swear I’d

If only
I could take all those days back

When we would walk

Bare

               Feet

Under that magic sunlight
Under those leaves
Where we would

    Inde-

                 -finitely

Love each other!

Just a pawn

Just a pawn, the first to be picked
And then horses came, running in all directions
Bishops were collecting souls, whenever they could,
Though being a god’s man, they are not perfect
And the queen doesn’t forgive any sin
He saw the castles of the city solemnly lift
Majestic they were! And, to them,
Time seemed to be just a drop of rain
Yet, nothing is sure when there is a war,
And after the rise, the fall
At night, the knights were trying to earn the King’s heart
The princess was nowhere to be seen; though they fought
Just a pawn, somewhere forgotten
Just a pawn, the chosen one

“No black and white anymore. Checkmate, matey!”
